Community Cookout: Stand With Our Youth

In light of community violence, the New Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department stands for change in the community.

On Friday, June 14th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. this Youth Department will host a community cookout at Piwok Park, 2701 S. Annabelle St, Detroit, MI, 48217. The event will serve as their community service day in conjunction with their youth week. The community is welcome to come enjoy food, music and games.

New Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church is an affiliate of both Tri-City Community Development Corporation and the Michigan institute for Nonviolence Education promoting positivity within the reams of education, workforce and other developmental aspects among the community’s youth. They have also sponsored various annual community events including featuring the Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University in Detroit.
