CW50 Film Fest Haiku Style

CW50 is the place to watch movies this weekend. Check out this week's lineup, plus read a haiku for each film written by on of our in-house poets.

Saturday 2 p.m. The Jungle Book 2 (TV-G, G, **) Mowgli returns to the jungle because he feels out of place despite the efforts of his new friend Shanti but fails to consider the danger of Shere Khan.

Saturday 4 p.m. Picture This! (TV-PG, NR) A high school wallflower lands a date with the school's most popular guy, but in order to go to the party, she must out-maneuver his ex-girlfriend.

Sunday 2 a.m. Gangs of New York (TV-MA, R, ***) A young man who witnessed his father's murder 16 years prior infiltrates a violent and powerful New York gang with plans to exact revenge for his dad's death.

Sunday 1 p.m. Hitman (TV-14, R, **+) A genetically engineered assassin accepts an assignment to take out a Russian head of state, but he meets a strange Russian woman who changes his plans.

Sunday 3 p.m. Arlington Road (TV-MA, R, ***) A college professor's paranoia and fear of terrorist hate groups fuels his suspicions when his new all-American neighbors begin to act a bit unusual.

Sunday 8 p.m. Man on Fire (TV-14, R, ***) A former assassin is hired to protect the nine-year-old daughter of a wealthy businessman, and when she is kidnapped, he vows to kill all those responsible.
