Avril Lavigne Goes To Prom In 'Here's To Never Growing Up' Video
Avril Lavigne dropped the video for "Here's To Never Growing Up" on Thursday (May 9), giving visuals to the raucous anthem. While the clip hammers home the point, she recently explained how the rebellious song became the first single from her forthcoming album.
The video, which finds Lavigne reliving her youth, opens with Lavigne sitting by high school lockers belting out the chorus.
"Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs/With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love/Got a bottle of whatever but it's getting us drunk/Singing here's to never growing up."
In an interview with Radio.com, Lavigne opened up about the track, which she co-wrote with fiancé Chad Kroeger of Nickelback.
"After writing 'Here's To Never Growing Up' we recorded it pretty much right away and I came into the studio at about 11 p.m. to sing," she said. "After singing it, it felt really good."
