DETROIT (CW50) In recognition of Women’s History Month, Host Roxanne Steele of AMP Radio talks to various organizations helping women in business for the Sunday, March 3 edition of  ”Street Beat.”

First, Irma Glaser, the past president and program chair for the National Council Of Jewish Women’s Greater Detroit Section, discusses the wage gap and the upcoming “Pay Equity Day.”

Then Carol Kirkland, the president of the National Association Of Women Business Owners’ Greater Detroit Chapter, explains how her organization helps women grow their businesses.  Next, Tianna Robinson and Michelle Fischer from the Young Entrepreneurs Series (YES) explain how they empower young women to consider business careers.

Finally, Amy Kaherl, the Executive Director of Detroit Soup, talk about the that combines dinner, presentations and micro-grants to entrepreneurs.
