Video by Alissa Lincoln

DETROIT (CW50) A certain buzz was in the air at the designers' party that helped kick off the Auto Show in Detroit.

"It's always nice to be able to share it to the public," said Max Wolff, design director for Lincoln, and the designer behind newly launched Lincoln MKC crossover concept.

Wolff welcomed CW50 to the party that was well attended by luminaries on the Detroit design scene, including Tom Peters, design director for the new Corvette C7 Stingray, and Joel Piaskowski, exterior design director for Ford, who talked about the new Ford Fusion.

"We just wanted to do a fantastically sculpted Corvette," said Peters about the new Stingray. "It's beautiful but also functional."

Even there was Brett Berk, a regular contributor to Vanity Fair magazine, who picked out a Maserati as his "car spirit animal."

Music featured in the video is Fawn, "Break it off Tonight (ZSHIPPS REMIX)."
