September is one of the most important months in the fashion world and it promises to be an eventful season for the Michigan fashion industry. To launch the fashion month, Michigan Fashion Week will make its debut from September 13 to 15.

Michigan Fashion Week (MFW) is a three-day event that will showcase designers, artists and models in the state of Michigan and the Midwest. MFW was formed this year, in order unite and to provide an arena for designers, artists and models to display their talent.

Hour Detroit Magazine, Paul Mitchell Schools and My Style Genie are among the sponsors that have lined up to support MFW. For its first year, MFW has outlined a list of fun, networking events for guests to look forward to.

The first event will be "Meet Fashion Week" which will take place on September 13 at Marvela Boutique in Royal Oak, from 6pm-9pm.

The "Meet Fashion Week" event will provide guests with the opportunity to learn more about MFW and meet the creators, artists, designers, and models behind MFW. Between the meeting and greeting, attendees can also enjoy a live DJ and shopping with Marvela's special discount.

Following "Meet Fashion Week", is the Michigan Fashion Week Night Out event on September 14th, at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center in Birmingham. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, fashionistas can shop among from a list of vendors, eat, sip and mingle before the big runway showcase on Saturday.

The final event to MFW will be the Michigan Fashion Week Showcase. Bianca Golden, a finalist from "America's Next Top Model" cycle 9, will host the showcase at the Southfield Civic Center.

The MFW showcase will include runway presentations from 13 designers within Michigan and the Midwest. Doors to the big event will open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

General admission to the MFW showcase on September 15 is $25 per person. MFW VIP tickets are $50 per person. The tickets include VIP seating to the Michigan Fashion Week Showcase and an invitation to the official MFW Industry Networking Reception on September 14.
