New Arsenio Hall Talk Show Announced

DETROIT (CW50) After a 20-year hiatus, former king of the talk show world Arsenio Hall is hoping to regain his throne. Can we get a "wuff, wuff, wuff?"

The Los Angeles Times broke the news that Hall has a new talk show;  CBS 62 and CW50 Director Of Programming and Community Affairs Paul Prange confirmed it will air on CW50 in metro Detroit.

"I'm happy to announce that WKBD will be the home of The Arsenio Hall Show here in Detroit," Prange said.

The timing of the announcement could be fitting: Not only is Hall fresh off his successful appearance on "Celebrity Apprentice," it was also 20 years ago this month that former President Bill Clinton picked up a saxophone on Hall's stage in a memorable moment that is still regarded as having been influential in Clinton's presidential campaign.

The new show is planned to launch in the fall of 2013.

A partnership of CBS Television Distribution and the Tribune Co., the program is being syndicated nationwide and in just days has already been cleared in over half the country's television markets.
