You’ve heard the expression “charity begins at home,” but did you also know that it can start at your local business?  Today on Street Beat we’ll take a look at businesses that have made it a priority to provide for others.

First, Syma Chowdhry talks to salon owner Maggie Varney, the founder and CEO of Wigs 4 Kids.


Then Community Correspondent Nana Dansoa, meets Dr. J Victor Eagan of Eagan Orthodontics and his wife, Catherine Eagan, talk about their program to award full sets of braces to metro Detroit individuals in need.


Next, Syma finds out how one large business gives back to the community from Patricia McCann, Comerica Bank’s Vice President And National Civic Affairs Manager.  Finally, Syma talks to University of Detroit Mercy Professor David Koelsch about the upcoming Race for Justice.
