The 7th Annual Detroit Fashion Week event is the premier event for the Michigan fashion industry and showcases Detroit’s own designers, models, and creative minds. Fashion Photographer Brian Heath is the mastermind behind this terrific event, and CW50 is excited to be a part of it!
Detroit Fashion Week kicks off Sunday, September 18th with “BLUEPRINT,” the official designer reception and press preview party at Emagine Royal Oak, sponsored by Uneek Collections. Catch DGG Bethany as she covers this event for her blog on CW50detroit.com, and enjoy a red carpet, live music, and fashion show! This event kicks off at 8:30pm and runs through 1:30am.
On September 22nd at 7pm, First Forecast Mornings’ Lori Pinson will host “In Living Pink” – a fundraising event supporting the Young Survival Coalition – at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market. This is Lori’s second year in a row hosting “In Living Pink,” and new this year will be a “Pink Fashion Show,” with young women who have survived breast cancer as the featured models! DFW celebrates budding designers as well…the Student Showcase will take place September 23rd at Willys Overland Lofts in Detroit (441 Canfield St). DGG Bethany will host this event, featuring a fashion show, food, and entertainment. Cover is $10 to attend.
Detroit Fashion Week closes in style with a Designer Showcase, happening September 24th at the Detroit Main Public Library. Doors are at 7pm, and the fashion show kicks off at 8pm, featuring 7 talented designers. An official AfterParty will take place at KaCent 630 in Detroit (630 Woodward Ave.).
