Street Beat

Sunday, June 26 at 11:30am

Summer is heating up and that means more boat rides, more barbecues, and more time cruising Woodward.  This week on Street Beat, the First Forecast Morning team along with WWJ-TV Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus joins Syma Chowdhry to discuss different ways to protect yourself and your family.

First Colonel Kriste Kibbey Etue, Director of the Michigan State Police, talks to Traffic Reporter Randy Bhirdo and Syma about ways to stay safe on the road…and stay out of jail.  www.michigan.gov/msp

Then Meteorologist Lori Pinson presents her special package on boating safety and talks about additional water safety tips.  www.macombsheriff.com

Next, Jim Madaus gives Syma information on severe weather including what to watch out for and how to protect yourself.

Finally, Rapper Hush stops by to discuss the growing problem of abandoned dogs in the streets of Detroit and his efforts to save them.  www.detroitdogrescue.com
