DETROIT WIG OUT!

Detroit Wig Out
The city came out in the name of "wiggery" for Detroit's third annual Detroit Wig Out benefit.  Located at the legendary Magic Stick, it was "Hair-tastic"!

@OliveOil__: Wigs are too much fun! Ahhh had a blast at the Detroit Wig Out 2011. I love Peace Love & Spandex!

Detroit Wig Out was an evening that was anything but modest - guests rocked pink and purple wigs, afros, and everywhere in between!  Local bands, The Blue Squares, Royale, Fawn, and The Kickstand Band kept the soundtrack of the evening buzzing!

Hosted by Creepy Clyde Brown and Emily Rose, we were literally entertained all night long.  When I wasn't enamored by the selection of wigs, there were the Detroit Derby Girls to keep me entertained, along with a fabulous DGG-approved Runway Show/Wig Walk by Peace, Love & Spandex!

Of course there was a BEST WIG contest (congrats, Rhonda!).  My fave? Definitely the 1960s hair pieces with complete outfits to match!

Wig Out Detroit's third annual party benefitted the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD).  I may have had a "wig-drobe malfunction" this time (a hole smack dab in the middle of my Supremes inspired 'do), but I'm hitting the stores NOW so I can be ready for next year! :)  Any suggestions?

You know you love me, XOXO
Lauren
