It’s time for Detroiters to fluff up their wigs as the annual Detroit Wig Out gears up for a third successful year. Join your DGGs at this year’s event, Saturday, April 30th at the Magic Stick Lounge (located on the 2nd floor of the Majestic Complex).
The event will feature an eclectic assortment of southeast Michigan entertainment:
• Bands including FAWN, The Blue Squares, The Kickstand Band and Royale
• 45 rpm archeologist, Adam Stanfel, spinning dance tunes between live sets
• Glam & Spandex Wig Walk featuring Peace Love Spandex clothing, makeup by Rouge Makeup & Nail Studio, and wig fashions from Curl Up & Dye.
• Creepy Clyde Brown, host of Spooky Talk, and Emily Rose, actor and entertainer, co-hosting the evening.
Everyone is welcome, with or without wigs, but to encourage the spirit of the event a $2 non-wig-wearing surcharge will be collected at the door. So grab your wig and get on out to to this fantastic event! Doors are at 8:30pm on Saturday. Proceeds from the Detroit Wig Out will benefit MOCAD.
Tickets for the event are $10 and are available at MOCAD (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 pm), through Ticketmaster or at the door.
