What Are You Doing For St. Patrick's Day?

St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner...do you have your plans confirmed yet? If not, don't worry - CW50 has a list of cool events for you to check out on this March 17th!

Want to see a live radio broadcast?
Stop by Gus O'Connor's on Grand River in Novi and check out 97.1 The Ticket's Karsch and Anderson as they broadcast live on St. Patrick's Day! Celebrate with our sister radio station's personalities and get a free 97.1 St. Patrick's Day T-shirt (while supplies last). Gus O'Connor's will be hosting festivities all day, but the live broadcast will be exclusively from 10am-2pm, so arrive early!

Want to check out a truly traditonal Irish Pub?
Head to Conor O'Neill's on Main Street in Ann Arbor. They'll be open beginning at 7am on St. Patrick's Day, and will have bagpipers, Irish dancers, and live Irish Music all day. What's unique about this Irish Pub? It was actually designed and built in Ireland!(Crazy, right?). Check out this traditional Irish venue...and enjoy some tasty traditional Irish cuisine while you're at it!

Want to try somewhere new?
Head downtown to Greektown for the official (re)opening of Marilyn's on Monroe. Once a former Detroit hotspot, it's been undergoing some serious re-modeling, and will be debuting its new look just in time for March 17th! Stop by and enjoy an event that's happening both indoors...and outdoors (in a heated tent, of course). Doors open at 8am and during the day, you can also catch a Celtic rock band, a cover band, and DJs in between.

Want to see some live local acts?
Head downtown to PJ's Lager House on Michigan Avenue and catch Jesse & The Gnome (featuring members of Detroit band The Satin Peaches), The Vamps, & The Kickstand Band. The show is FREE and The Lager House serves food now...so you're all set! PJ's is open all day, but the music won't start until around 9pm. We know you probably had fun stopping in there during last weekend's parade...and Thursday is the perfect time to drop back in!

Want some other recommendations?
Bars, pubs, and restaurants all over Metro Detroit will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Still not sure where to go? Check out one of these places...
1) Dooley's Irish Tavern (located in Roseville, Sterling Heights, & Mt. Clemens)
2) The Old Shillelagh (located in Detroit)
3) Claddagh Irish Pub (located in Livonia)
4) Dick O'Dow's (located in Birmingham)
5) Woodbridge Pub (located in Detroit)

Have somewhere you love that we're forgetting? Let us know in the comments!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from CW50!
