98.7 AMP Radio's KRINGLE JINGLE!

Every Monday, they bring you Commercial Free Music; every minute, someone's making the switch; and every year, they host one of the hottest shows Detroit has ever seen! You know what I'm talking about…It's 98.7 AMP Radio's KRINGLE JINGLE!

I can't think of a better way to kick off the Holidays than with a show-stopping, free concert featuring The Ready Set and Jason Derulo! This year, the DGGs got up close and personal with Jordan of The Ready Set before his exhilarating performance. 

We heard he loves Christmas goodies, so we brought him a tray of delicious gingerbread snowmen!  He was so happy and said he couldn't wait to share with all his friends!  We also spoke to Jordan (who surprisingly is the only member of The Ready Set) about life on the road and how his hit single, "Like Woe" is not as much of a love song as we might think.  "It's about a very complicated relationship" Jordan stated. "Its spelled W-O-E for a reason."

After cookies, chatting, and a few photo ops with his biggest fans, Jordan headed backstage, and the DGGs took our places in preparation for a banging show! 
The Ready Set was phenomenal!  Jordan's energy is almost completely opposite of the shy boy-next-door he is when off-stage.  Such a rock star…Danielle, Bethany, and I could not take our eyes off of him!

In between sets, we were entertained by our fave DJs from 98.7 AMP Radio!  They kept the party going, and we even watched a priceless moment as one guest proposed to his beautiful girlfriend…with a fabulous $6,500 ring from Agnello Jewelers!  Of course, she said YES, and I couldn't help but get a bit emotional for the newly engaged couple!!

Featuring a special guest…

For weeks, Detroit has been buzzing about the "surprise special guest" 98.7 promised would perform at Kringle Jingle.  Even though we were filled to the brim at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, and the concert was well under way, we STILL had no idea who the special artist was.  Finally, the moment we all were waiting for, @987ampradio tweeted "Flo Rida made the switch" and would be the special guest!   When he hit the stage, the crowd went bananas! 

Up next, the gorgeous Jason Derulo!  I must be honest…his show was comparable to a stadium performance, with lights, acrobatics, and special effects! He definitely took us on a journey as we sang along to his hits "What if," "In My Head," and my anthem of the year, "Ridin' Solo!"

What a fun night for us DGGs and all the lucky fans who won tickets money could not buy! Thanks 98.7 AMP Radio for such a wonderful early Christmas present! ;)
