Nice To Meet You

This blog needs to start somewhere, and this is as good a place as any.  It's day one on the brand new CW50Detroit.com, and I'm thrilled the launch has arrived.  A few of us have worked really hard on the site and are looking forward to getting it off the ground.

So…who am I, and why is this blog called "Typical Amy," you ask?  I'm the Director of Digital Media for CW50. In other words, I'm the web geek. :-) As for the name, my ex-boyfriend referred to me as "Typical Amy" in a text after we broke up.  I have a feeling he meant it as an insult…but after thinking about it, I'm cool with the title.  "Typical Amy," I decided, is a good person, and even when I make mistakes, I own them and apologize.  I'm not sure pride was the reaction my ex-boyfriend wanted, but it's the one I had. Believe it or not, we aren't on bad terms. Ultimately, I think he realized "Typical Amy" wasn't so bad after all. ;-)

So, as "Typical" me is navigating through the crazy path of life, I have decided to take you along on the journey.  Do you think we will need seatbelts? LOL. I truly hope you will share some of your experiences with me too. You never know, maybe we can help each other get to our destinations, wherever each of us decides that is.  -Amy Bergin
